Who Is Bubu’s Lashes?

Tapu Elia, best known as “Bubu” is not shy when it comes to Lashes, for her it’s like a religion. She is obsessed with everything Lashes and Beauty. Before opening her Beauty Salon and Online Store in 2019, she was a home-based Artist. In 2016, she dedicated three years towards certifying in all four disciplines of Lash Artistry including classic, hybrid, volume and lash lifts, then later certified in Brow Design, Brow Lamination, Threading, Makeup Artistry, Spray Tanning, and Dermaplaning Facials. She also runs an Academy teaching her craft to Māori and Pacific women creating female entrepreneurs that will inspire and influence the world. Currently she is the only globally certified beauty artist and award-winning educator to provide a leading mobile beauty service across the Wellington region.

What Do You Do?

Through her mobile beauty service, Bubu creates magic. With her warm island-girl nature, she creates both art and memorable experiences. Whether you’re getting Lashes, Brows, Makeup, Spray Tan or Facial.

Her Online Store offers AFTERPAY and showcases essential beauty items including Magnetic Lashes, Strip Lashes, Eye Masks, and Gift Vouchers.

Her Academy is available both Online and In-Person across New Zealand, Australia, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga and Rarotonga. With a flexible learning environment, students can study at their own pace or accelerate to completion within six weeks. Beauty Kits and Certification included.

She chooses her own work hours to fit around her family, a luxury she did not have when working for others. When Do You Open?

All bookings are by-appointment-only, between the hours of 10am and 8pm, five-days a week from Wednesday to Sundays. This includes LATE-NIGHTS for client’s who work during the day.

Appointments are booked and prepaid online using credit card, debit card, Gpay, Applepay, Laybuy or AFTERPAY.

Our mobile beauty service covers Porirua City, Tawa, Johnsonville and Wellington City Central.
