Warm pacific greetings and welcome to the Polynesian Beauty Academy. My name is Tapu Elia.

I am the Lash Queen of the Pacific. I was born in the small island of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands. My mum, Akapoe was as a nurse and my dad, Makea was a teacher. Given their professions, I believe I was destined to become a Lash Beauty Educator. I moved to New Zealand in the 1990’s and lived in Australia, Melbourne in the 2000’s where I first discovered my love of eyelash extensions.

Fast forward to now, I am the Director of my own Beauty Salon, Bubu’s Lashes and Educator for the Polynesian Beauty Academy. In four years, I have successfully trained over 200 students, online and in-person. The Beauty Industry has blessed me with more time with my family, financial freedom and better quality of life.

It has always been my dream to share my success and love of lashes with local women of the Pacific through a Polynesian lens.

Finally, through my Pacific Lash Tour 2023, I will be sharing my Express Classic and Volume Lashes ALL-IN-ONE course across New Zealand, Australia, Rarotonga, Samoa, Fiji, Tahiti and Hawaii. Local women or Spa’s in these high tourist countries can charge between NZD$150-$300 per lash treatment once certified. With only 6 students per session, spaces will fill up fast!
